For most of us, when we think about the Ark of the Covenant, we think about Indiana Jones, snakes, crazy chase scenes and the cute but evil little monkey. (And the end of the movie when that guy’s face melts). There’s actually more to the story. 🙂

The word above refers to “the practice of something,” as distinguished from the theories about it or merely the knowledge of a subject. For example, one could be very knowledgeable about fishing, one could even be said to be orthodox about fishing.

Most of us like new things from time to time. New clothes, new gadgets and new appliances can be a genuine source of encouragement. Sometimes newer is better, but not always.

Are you an American? This coming week, most people would be happy to say, “Of course!”

Have you given much thought to who your teachers are? Why did you choose the people you have listened to? Does it matter? Jesus was told one time that the Pharisees were offended by His teaching. He responded, "Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch."
