I enjoy the writings of Warren Wiersbe. In commenting on Hebrews 7, he reminds that reading the Bible is sometimes like watching or reading a mystery. We should never take a character too lightly! Reading Genesis 14, you would not think Melchizedek was a very important character, but understanding his place in the Biblical story is very applicable to our need.
